Shankar Rao accuses CM of dividing T-ministers

Hyderabad, October 10 : Former minister Dr P Shankar Rao on Wednesday accused Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar of trying to sabotage the separate Telangana movement by creating a rift among the ministers from the region.

Talking to reporters at Assembly's media point, Dr Shankar Rao alleged that Information and Public Relations Minister DK Aruna's on-going trip to New Delhi was sponsored by the Chief Minister himself. He said that the payment of tickets for Aruna and the entire group of leaders from Mahabubnagar district was made by the Chief Minister. He also claimed that all details could be extracted through an RTI application.

The former minister also announced that he would stop speaking to the media in future if his allegations were found incorrect. Demanding a detailed probe into his charges, he said that the Chief Minister has used Aruna to create a rift among the Telangana ministers.

Stating that there would be some major changes in the political scenario of the State after October 17, Dr Shankar Rao said the Congress party in the State could be saved only by removing Kiran Kumar Reddy from the post of the Chief Minister. He also alleged that Kiran Kumar Reddy has opened the doors of corruption in the State and dropped him from the cabinet when he raised his voice against his corruption.
