YSRCP meets Sabitha, seeks against against Srikakulam DSP

Hyderabad, Sept 6: A delegation of YSR Congress party leaders on Thursday submitted a memorandum to Home Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy seeking action against Srikakulam Sub-Inspector of Police and Deputy Superintendent of Police for their alleged highhandedness on Srikakulam MLA Krishna Das and his wife during the dharna staged on August 31 against power crisis issue.
Talking to media persons at the Secretariat after submitting memorandum to Home Minister, YSRCP deputy floor leader Shobha Nagireddy condemned the police attitude and their highhandedness on MLA Krishna Das and his wife. She said that the YSR Congress party has sought strong disciplinary action against the SI and DSP for violation of MLA's rights. She said that YSR Congress party would also move a privilege motion for violation of MLAs rights with Assembly Speaker Nadendla Manohar.
Shobha Nagi Reddy said that the YSR Congress party would call district bandh if the government fails to take action against the guilty police officials. She said that the Home Minister assured the delegation that she would take action the officials after conducting an inquiry into the incident.
