CLP condemns YSRCP's hunger fast over Fee Reimbursement issue

Hyderabad, Sept 6: The Congress Legislature Party on Thursday condemned the hunger fast of YSR Congress party over the Fee Reimbursement issue.

Talking to reporters at the Congress Legislature Party office, Government Chief Whip Gandra Venkataramana Reddy alleged that YSRCP Honorary President Vijaya Lakhsmi was trying to mislead the people over the Fee Reimbursement issue. He said that Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy has given total clarification on the issue and ensured that all deserving students get the benefits of Fee Reimbursement scheme. He alleged that the YSRCP leaders were not honest in their approach and trying to make an issue out of nothing.

Venkataramana Reddy said that the Fee Reimbursement scheme was launched in 2008 by the then Chief Minister Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy and the same scheme has been continued by Kiran Kumar Reddy Government.

Congress MLA Veershiva Reddy asked as to why Vijayamma was not conducting a Deeksha over the issue of corruption. He said the State has been plagued with various cases of corruption and if the YSRCP was really committed towards the people, then it should launch demonstrations against corruption.
