New Delhi, September 28 INN: The Supreme Court on Friday adjourned to October 5 the hearing on the bail petition of YSR Congress party president Jagan Mohan Reddy in the disproportionate assets case.
When the case came up for hearing, the CBI counsel told the court that since its lawyer has been changed, more time was required to study the details of the case. Following CBI counsel's appeal, the apex court adjourned the next hearing to October 5.
The 40-year-old MP had moved the Supreme Court for bail against the Andhra Pradesh High Court order, which denied him the relief in the disproportionate assets case. Earlier, the CBI has opposed Jagan's bail stating that he might influence the case if released on bail. Jagan was arrested on May 27 for allegedly amassing wealth illegally.
