Hyderabad, Sept 8: The State Government on Saturday issued
notification for the conduct of monsoon session of State Legislative Assembly
from September 17.
The
session will be held for five days till September 22. It may be mentioned that
the Assembly did not meet after the Budget session in March.
In the
Assembly session, the sources said that the government would hold discussion on
SC, ST Sub-Plan as recommended by the Cabinet Sub-Committee and a legislation
would also be brought for the same. Power crisis, release of water from
Nagarjuna Sagar to Krishna delta farmers, Fee Reimbursement issue, drought
situation, shortage of fertilisers and seeds, allegations against tainted
ministers, land distribution for industries and increase in quota for BCs in
local body elections are the other issues that are likely to dominate the
session.
