BJP demands official celebration of Hyderabad Liberation Day

Hyderabad, Sept 8: Bharatiya Janata Party state president G Kishan Reddy on Saturday demanded that the State Government officially celebrate Hyderabad Liberation Day on September 17 across the Telangana region.

Talking to media persons at the State BJP Headquarters at Nampally, Kishan Reddy demanded that the government conduct the official celebration of the Telangana Liberation Day on September 17 on the lines of Karnataka and Maharashtra states. He wondered as to why the government was hesitant to hold official celebrations for the occasion.

Kishan Reddy said that he would submit a memorandum to Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy in this regard soon. If the government fails to organise celebrations officially, he warned that the BJP would hoist flag at all District Headquarters across the Telangana region.

In Hyderabad, he said that the BJP would hoist flag at Parade Grounds on the same day. He said that the BJP would intensify Telangana agitation from village level to district level from September 17.
