Hyderabad, Sept 8: Telugu Desam Telangana Forum Convenor
Errabelli Dayakar Rao on Saturday stated that party president N Chandrababu
Naidu would give clarity on the Telangana statehood issue within two days.
Dayakar
Rao alleged that the entire North Telangana region has turned into a desert as
the government failed to argue strongly over Babli issue with Maharashtra. He
demanded that Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy discuss the issue with his
Maharashtra counterpart during the Chief Ministers conference to be convened on
September 18.
The TDP
leader also predicted that the YSRCP would merge with the Congress soon. “They
are moving in the same direction since the Presidential polls,” he said. Coming
down heavily on the ministers attending book release function of KVP
Ramachandra Rao in New Delhi, he pointed out the ministers have no time to get
funds from the Centre on the people’s problems, but they are spending time on
book release events. He alleged that KVP organised the programme to show his
strength and to resort blackmail tactics.
Responding
to reports over handing over of responsibilities of party to Naidu’s son
Lokesh, he refuted the reports and described them as baseless and far from
truth. On Naidu’s Padayatra scheduled to begin on October 2, he said that he
had asked Naidu to start padayatra from Telangana region.
