Hyderabad, September 15 INN: Congress senior leader and MLC Paladu Venkat Rao on Saturday raised serious objection over Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh’s move to open doors for Foreign Direct Investment in various sectors in the country including the retail business.
Talking to media persons at the Congress Legislature Party Office, he appealed to Dr Manmohan Singh to review his decision over allowing FDI in the country. Stating that the opening of doors for foreign investors would lead to serious consequences in the country apart from causing huge damage to retail sector, he said that the exports of indigenous industries would affect seriously with the move and spoil the Indian economy.
The Congress MLC accused the Prime Minister of following anti-Indira and anti-Nehru policies, who laid foundation stones for sound economy by adopting Five Year plans.
