Adilabad, September 15 INN: Former Congress MP Indra Karan Reddy on Saturday announced that he would resign from the Congress party's primary membership if it fails to announce a favourable decision on the Telangana statehood demand by September 30.
Talking to media persons here, Indra Karan Reddy warned that the party would be completely wiped out from the region if the Congress High Command drags the bifurcation of State issue in the name of consultations with stakeholders. He said that he was consulting his well wishers and supporters over the future course of action plan to be adopted on the issue.
Responding to a question, the former MP said that he would announce his final decision on the quitting the Congress party on October 2 if the government fails to announce its decision on the statehood issue before September 30.
