Hyderabad, Sept 24: A delegation of Congress
MLAs and MLCs would soon visit all the government hospitals in the State and
submit a comprehensive report to the government over their functioning.

secretary and MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy on Monday said that the party has
taken this decision in the wake of allegations that the government hospitals
have no proper infrastructure facilities and poor maintenance. Talking to media
persons at Assembly premises, he said that as part of visit, the delegation of
MLAs and MLCs would first visit Osmania General Hospital, Gandhi Hospital and
Niloufer Hospital in the State capital to review their functioning.
After
visiting the hospitals in Hyderabad, he said that the delegation would visit
all hospitals in the districts and submit a comprehensive report with all facts
to the government. Though the government spending crores of rupees on the
hospitals, he asked as to why they were lagging behind in infrastructure and
other facilities. He also asked the government to send a health inspection team
to conduct surprise visits on all hospitals to know the actual conditions
before the visit of MLAs and MLCs.
