Guntur, Feb 28 : The Junior Assistant, O/o. Deputy Commercial Tax Officer, Bradi Peta circle, Guntur District was caught red-handed by the ACB officials on Feb 28 at 02.15 p.m. at O/o. DCTO, Bradi Peta Circle, Guntur district, when he demanded and accepted the bribe amount of Rs.20,000 from the complainant for doing an official favor i.e. to process the requisition file pertaining to issuance of final order for the penalty proposed to impose on the shop of the complainant until completion of appeal orders pending with Appellate authority i.e. Deputy Commissioner, Commercial Tax, Guntur.
The accused officer is being arrested and produced before the Hon'ble ACB Court, Vijayawada. Case is under investigation.(INN)
