East Godavari, Feb 28 : The Assistant Lineman, Electricity Department, Korukonda (M), East Godavari district was caught red handed by the ACB officials at 02.20 p.m. on Feb 28 at the Customer Service Centre, O/o. Assistant Divisional Engineer, APCPDCL, Korukonda, East Godavari district when he demanded and accepted the bribe amount of Rs.2,000 from the complainant for doing an official favour of fixing the Electric Meter to the shop of the complainant. The Lineman received the bribe amount and handed over the same (bribe amount) to the Operator, Customer Service Centre, O/o. ADE, APCPDCL for safe custody.
Both the accused officers are being arrested and produced before the Hon'ble ACB Court, Vijayawada. Case is under investigation. (INN)
