Jairam Ramesh praises Seemandhra Muslim leaders

Hyderabad, Feb 27 (INN): Union Minister Jairam Ramesh praised the loyalty and dedication of Muslims leaders from Seemandhra region towards the Congress party.

During his interaction with the office bearers of PCC Minorities Department of all 23 districts, Jairam Ramesh said that while many leaders including Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy quit the party over bifurcation issue, the Muslim leaders did not take any such drastic step. He said the Muslim leaders remained loyal to the party and its leadership throughout the crisis. Appreciating the Muslims leaders, he said their loyalty and support towards the party would go a long way in ensuring development of the community in their region.

Jairam Ramesh also listed out various schemes being implemented by the Centre for the development of minorities across the country.

PCC Presient Botsa Satyanrayana and AICC SC Department Chairman Kapila Raju were also present.

Earlier, PCC Minorities Department Chairman Md Sirjauddin chaired a five-hour long meeting with the office bearers of all districts and discussed the impact of State's bifurcation. (INN)
