Hyderabad, October 9 : Two batches consisting of 299 and 350 Haj pilgrims left Hyderabad for Jeddah on Tuesday.
AP State Haj Committee chairman Syed Khaleeluddin Ahmed flagged off the buses at the Haj House amid chanting of Talbiah, the special prayer for the Haj. The pilgrims clad in Ehram (Two white sheets of cloth) were seen off by the relatives and friends. So far, six batches have left for the sacred destination. Altogether 1847 pilgrims have left Hyderabad out of whom 1497 have reached Makkah Mukarrama and pilgrims have offered Umrah and are busy in prayers there.
SHC Executive Officer Abdul Hameed, Members Mahmood Hussain Engineer, Syed Raza Hussain Azad and others were present on this occasion.
Two more batches of Haj pilgrims are scheduled to take off at 12:20 AM on Wednesday from the Haj Terminal at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at Shamshabad.
