Fill 30,000 teachers’ posts in one month: CM to officials


Hyderabad, October 3 : Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy on Wednesday directed the officials to announce the results of DSC and Model School Teacher Posts by October 7 and fill up 30,000 teacher posts in one month.

 The notification for the DSC - 2012 was issued on January 30 this year to fill up 21,343 posts of various categories of teachers in the State and 7,100 posts of Principals, PGTs and TGTs. Applications were received from the eligible candidates online from February 16 to July 20.

The Teachers’ Recruitment Test, DSC – 2012 Examinations, were conducted on August 26th, 27th and 28th. For 6,007 posts of School Assistants, as many as 3,35,004 candidates applied. Similarly 36,065 applications were received for 2144 posts of Language Pandits, 10,303 applications for 409 Physical Education Teachers posts, 41,716 applications for 12,772 SGT posts and 23 applications for 11 posts of Special Schools.

Presently post examination works are in progress. The DSC results are likely to be announced October 7.

Similarly, as many as 2,548 candidates appeared for 355 posts of Principals; 45,970 for 4,615 posts of PGTs and 34,278 candidates appeared for 2,130 posts of TGTs in Model School Teachers. The results of PGTs and TGTs will be declared on October 7 and the results of Principals will be declared after conducting the interviews.

It may be recalled that the State Government granted permission for Direct Recruitment of Government posts of 1,25,134 this year, which is the highest number in the history of the State as the total Government cadre strength is only 10 lakhs. Out of the permission, 48,730 posts were newly created for the unemployed youth by the state government this year.

The government has given clearances to Recruiting Agencies for 1,18,620 posts; APPSC for 15,674 posts, Police Recruitment Board for 24,634 posts, District Selection Committee for 41,268 and Departmental Selection Committees for 36,099 posts.

So far, the government has notified 95,073 vacancies and 23,547 vacancies are yet to be notified.
