Citing mother's demise, Dharmana Prasad do not appear before CBI Court

Hyderabad, October 9 : Roads and Buildings Minister B Dharmana Prasad Rao did not appear in person before the CBI Court on Tuesday in connection with the Vanpic aspect of disproportionate assets case of YSR Congress party president YS Jaganmohan Reddy.

Dharmana Prasad Rao filed an affidavit in the court through his counsel stating that he could not appear in person as his mother has passed away last Friday.

It may be mentioned that the minister on September 25 executed a bond of Rs 25,000 and furnished two sureties for an equivalent amount before the court which directed him to appear again on October 9 (Tuesday). The minister has already submitted his resignation to Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and a decision in this regard is yet to be taken.

MeanwhiLe, the other accused in the case Vijayasai Reddy, Nimmagadda Prakash, Chadramouli and Vijaya Lakshmi were produced before the CBI court.
