Hyderabad, October 9 : The Bharatiya Janata Party on Tuesday accused the State Government of neglecting the welfare of farmers in the State.

Talking to reporters while staging a dharna before the Commissionerate of Agriculture near LB Stadium, BJP Kisan Morcha president J Shyam Kishan alleged that the farmers were not properly supply of fertilizers and seeds being supplied to them were of inferior quality. He also alleged that good quality seeds were being sold in black market and their rates are so exorbitant that ordinary farmers are unable to buy them. He condemned the government for having lost control on such activities in villages.

Further, he said that the subsidised seeds were also not being supplied to the farmers. He said that the farmers were not even getting crop loans and they were being forced to take loans at high interests from the local money lenders.
