YSRCP asks State Govt to apologise for wasting assembly session

Hyderabad, September 22 INN: The YSR Congress party on Saturday asked the State Government to tender an apology to the people of State for its failure to discuss public issues in the State Legislative Assembly.

Talking to reporters at Assembly media point after adjournment of House, YSRCP MLA Bhuma Karunakar Reddy said that it was due to the adamant attitude of government that Assembly Speaker Nadendla Manohar was forced to adjourn the House frequently. He said the YSR Congress party members came to the House on Saturday wearing black dresses to protest against the government’s indifferent attitude in not responding to public issues in the Assembly.

Karunakar Reddy alleged that the government was indulged in match fixing with Opposition Telugu Desam Party as it was afraid of giving reply to people’s issues. Accusing the government of having failed to discuss the public issues in the House, he said that people of State were watching closely the government and its failure in addressing their woes. Though the State has been plagued with farmers' issue, shortage of power, fee reimbursement, outbreak of dengue and malaria in agency areas, he alleged that government has wasted the five days Assembly session without taking up a healthy discussion on any issues.
