Hyderabad, September 22 INN: The BJP on Saturday accused the state government of ignoring the welfare of Scheduled Castes and Tribes in the State.
Talking to media persons in the Assembly premises after taking out a Padayatra from Ambedkar Statue at Tank Bund to Assembly, BJP state president G Kishan Reddy alleged that the government has totally neglected the welfare of SC and ST communities. He alleged that the government has deliberately delayed making legislation for the implementation of SC-ST Sub-plan in monoons session of the Legislative Assembly that concluded on Saturday. He demanded that the government immediately take steps to making a law over the implementation of SC, ST Sub-plan by convening special session of assembly.
Kishan Reddy also asked the government to take steps for proper utilisation of funds for the welfare of SCs and STs and take steps to prevent misuse and diversion for other purposes. He asked the government to initiate serious action against those officials, who are responsible for diversion of funds for other purposes.
BJP MLA E Lakshmi Narayana also participated in the padayatra.
