Hyderabad, September 28 INN: The MPs from Telangana region on Friday slammed Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and Director General Of Police V Dinesh Reddy for provoking the people of region by issuing controversial statements over giving permission to the Telangana March.
Talking to media persons after having a meeting at Rajya Sabha member K Kesava Rao’s residence, Karimnagar MP Ponnam Prabhakar said that Kiran Kumar Reddy has no moral right to continue on Chief Minister’s post for his failure to coordinate in taking a decision on permitting the Telangana March. He also raised serious objection over the DGP's statement that the police would not give permission for Telangana March at a time when the Ministers were discussing the issue.
Ponnam alleged that the DGP has intentionally made the statement of not giving permission to March to insult the Ministers from the region. He also accused Kiran Kumar Reddy of not showing respect towards ministers and MLAs from the Telangana region. He asked the Ministers and MLAs from the region to mount pressure on the government and issue a permission for March.
The Karimnagar MP said that there was no question of adjourning the March and the Congress MPs from the region would fully support it. He said that the government should be held responsible for incidents of violence during the March.
