Hyderabad, September 22 INN: Endowments Minister Konda Laxman Bapuji denied that there were allegations on the maintenance of Veda Patasalas being run by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam.
In his reply to a question raised by MLA M Sridhara Krishna Reddy and others during Question Hour in the State Legislative Assembly on Saturday, the minister also denied that there was no proper supervision by the Vigilance Officers over the functioning of Veda Patasalas. Giving details of expenditures, he said Rs 3.34 Crore have been spent on SV Veda Patasala at Dharmagiri for the academic year 2011-12 and 34 students have succesfully completed their course. Similarly, Rs 1.04 crore have been spent on Veda Patasala at Keesaragutta for the year 2011-12 and 18 students completed their course from this institution.
