Hyderabad, Aug 14 : The Telugu Desam Party demanded that the State Government cancel all the agreements pertaining to the Vanpic project.
Addressing a press conference at NTR Trust Bhavan here on Tuesday, TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu said that the government should cancel the Vanpic agreements and return the lands to the original owners from they were acquired. He said that the government should take stern action against all those related with the alleged irregularties in the Vanpic project and the lost money should be recovered from them.
Naidu also demanded the dismissal of all tainted ministers who have been named in the irregularities. He asked as to why the State Government was still silent on the issue although the Central Bureau of Investigation filed four chargesheets relating to the Vanpic and other cases proving the involvement of six ministers. He also described the YSR Congress party as the different side of Congress party. He said several ministers and officials were being made scapegoats to protect one family of YSR Rajasekhara Reddy.
Regarding Fee Reimbursement scheme, the TDP chief alleged that the government was not serious about solving the crisis. He threatened that the TDP would soon launch a massive agitation against the government over the Fee Reimbursement issue.
