PCC yet to decide on Dharmana's resignation: Botsa


Hyderabad, Aug 14: Pradesh Congress Committee president Botsa Satyanarayana on Tuesday informed that the decision on the resignation of Roads and Buildings Minister B Dharmana Prasad from the State Cabinet would be taken soon.

It may be mentioned that Dharmana Prasad was named as the fifth accused in the chargesheet filed by the Central Bureau of Investigation in the disproportionate assets case of Kadapa MP Jaganmohan Reddy, particularly the irregularities in the Vanpic project. Addressing a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan, Botsa said that the PCC has not yet decided anything on Dharmana's resignation and a final decision would be taken only after getting a copy of the charge sheet.

However, Botsa said that he believes that Dharmana Prasad was innocent and he would get a clean chit from the court. He said that Dharmana has promised to meet him immediately after his return from New Delhi.

Meanwhile, the PCC president also expressed serious concern over the "misuse of CLP office." He said some leaders who have used the Congress Legislature Party office premises to express their anger towards other Congress leaders. He warned of serious disciplinary action if the leaders does not change their attitude.

Botsa informed that OBC Cell Convenor Chitranjan was being served a show notice for speaking against Union Minister S Jaipal Reddy. Futher, Government Whip T Jayaprakash Reddy has been cautioned on making statement against other leaders.
