Hyderabad, July 2 : GHMC Commissioner Somesh Kumar along with Central Zone Commissioner D Ronal Rose and other officials of GHMC and HMWS&SB inspected the ongoing works of water stagnation points at Lake View Guest House and proposed baffle wall in nala at Lake View Guest House. The Commissioner directed the Zonal Commissioner and Superintending Engineer to expedite the works on priority.
The Commissioner along with the team of officials visited Sewerage Treatment Plant of HMDA near Indira Gandhi Statue, Necklace road and inspected the ongoing works of Regulatory Shutter Arrangement at Sewerage Treatment Plant (STP) in place of existing diversion weir of STP and instructed to take up nala widening from foot bridge at Sewerage Treatment Plant to clear water outlet of STP duly providing sand bags protection.
He also directed the Director (Operations) HMWSSB Rameshwar Rao to take up works pertaining to erection of gates on priority and further instructed the GHMC officials to take up redesiltation of Balkapur nala and also to take up pumping arrangements from Pension Office at Road No.1 to STP at Khairatabad.
