Vizianagaram, July 4 : P. Eshwara Rao, Municipal Revenue Inspector, Vizianagaram Municipality, Vizianagaram (A-1) was caught by the ACB officials when he demanded and accepted the bribe amount of Rs.10,000 through D. Venkateswara Rao, Bill Collector, Vizianagaram Municipality (A-2) on July 3, 2014 at evening hours near Library, Gajularega, Vizianagaram from the complainant K. Srinivasa Rao, Assistant Building contractor, Resident of Vizianagaram for doing an official favour to assess and fix the house tax for newly constructed house of the complainant’s friend.
The A-2 D. Venkateswara Rao, Bill Collector received the bribe amount from the complainant and kept in his purse and put it in his right side pant pocket. The bribe amount of Rs.10,000 was recovered from the A-2 at the at the instance of A-1. Relevant records were seized.
The accused officers were arrested and produced before the Hon’ble ACB Court, Visakhapatnam Case is under investigation. INN
