Hyderabad, May 26 : More than 25,000 delegates are likely to participate in the annual Mahanadu of Telugu Desam Party to be held at Gandipet from Tuesday.
Elaborate arrangements have been made at the ‘Telugu Vijayam’ campus at Gandipet for the Mahanadu which coincides with the birth anniversary of TDP founder president late NT Rama Rao.
The Mahanadu did not take place last year but it was held at the same venue in 2010 and 2011. This will be eighth Mahanadu to be held at “kuteeram” as the campus is called since the party's inception of the party. This will be last Mahanadu in the undivided Andhra Pradesh.
TDP President Nara Chandrababu Naidu and other leaders will pay tributes to party founder at NTR Ghat on Tuesday. He will then proceed to Gandipet in a bike rally. The TDP workers have painted the city yellow with party's flags and banners. A photo exhibition on Naidu's padayatra is also being organised and blood donation camps are also being planned across Andhra Pradesh. Several Telugu personalities will also be felicitated during the Mahanadu. INN
