Hyderabad, April 27 : BJP senior leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Sunday accused the Congress party of practising divisive secularism.
Addressing a press conference here, Naqvi said that the Congress party's secularism was influenced with the ideologies of Mohammad Ali Jinnah's Muslim League and Qasim Razvi's MIM and it has been using Muslim community as its vote bank since over six decades. However, he claimed that the BJP believes in true secularism where no community is treated as vote bank. He said that the people would reject the Congress party's fake secularism in the general elections.
Expressing confidence that the BJP-led NDA would win around 350 seats, Naqvi said that the people were inspired with the Gujarat's model of development and they would vote to make Narendra Modi the next Prime Minister of India. He said that the Congress party could not list out even 10 major achievements of its 10-year regime at the Centre. He alleged that the UPA Government was responsible for several scams in the country and BJP would order a probe into all the irregularities after coming to power.
Naqvi also condemned criticism against Narendra Modi and said several parties and leaders were targeting Modi only draw media attention and political mileage. INN
