Participating in the debate on Telangana in Rajya Sabha on Monday, Yechuri said that with 37 MPs in 2004 and 34 in 2009, the Congress MPs from Andhra Pradesh were responsible for the formation of party's government at the Centre. Describing the decision as "political opportunism" of Congress, he asked the party to explain its principal position. He said proper consultations should be held before taking a final decision as the issue could not be resolved in a haphazard manner.Read More
