Hyderabad, October 10 : With the departure of two more batches of 560 Haj pilgrims on Wednesday, the total number of pilgrims increased to 2407 who have reached the sacred destination of Makkah-al-Mukarramah from the State.
According to the State Haj Committee, two batches of 300 and 260 Haj pilgrims left Hyderabad for Jeddah on Wednesday. SHC chairman Syed Khaleeluddin Ahmed flagged off the buses at the Haj House amid chanting of Talbiah, the special prayer for the Haj.
So far, eight batches have left Hyderabad for Jeddah. Renowned scholar Moulana Abdul Rehman Al Hamoomi and Moulana Khaja Mohd Arifuddin, State’s chief of Amir Jamat Islami Hind, have advised the pilgrims to maintain discipline and patience during the pilgrimage. SHC Executive Officer Abdul Hameed, Members Mahmood Hussain Engineer, Syed Raza Hussain Azad and others were present on this occasion.
On October 11, one batch of 300 Haj pilgrims will leave for Jeddah at 10.35 AM from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at Shamshabad.
