Hyderabad, Sept 8: Telangana Political Joint Action Committee
Chairman Prof M Kodandaram on Saturday called upon the people to make
"Telangana March", to be organized on September 30, a grand success.
Talking
to media persons at a preparatory meeting in Makthal, Kodandaram said that the
Telangana March should be as successful as the Samakka-Sarakka Jatra, the
largest tribal annual festival organized every year in Warangal district. He
said that awareness camps and conferences would be conducted as part of run up
to the "Telangana March" across the region from September 9-15.
Stating
that the "Telangana March" would be severe this time, he called upon
all people to hold a Telangana flag in their hand during the march and oppose
the Seemandhra people’s rule. “This march will be final to achieve separate
Telangana and Centre will be forced to announce a decision on the statehood
issue,” he stated. Despite four crore people demanding statehood for the
region, he criticised the Centre for delaying the issue in the name of
consultations. He said that the Seemandhra investors, who are opposing the
formation of state to protect their vested interests, would see the wrath of
Telangana agitators this time in the agitation.
Kondandaram
called upon all the parties to participate in the agitation by keeping aside
their party agenda.
