Hyderabad, September 11 INN: A delegation of Managements of Private Engineering Colleges Association on Tuesday appealed to Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy to stop raids on colleges by Task Force till December.
Talking to reporters at media point in the Secretariat after submitting a memorandum to the Chief Minister at his chambers, the Association president Krishna Rao said that the managements have appealed to Chief Minister that the Task Force could conduct inspections of those colleges, which filed affidavits in the High court seeking tuition fee hike. Stating that the Chief Minister has responded positively to the managements' appeal, he said that the colleges were not afraid of Task Force raids over the infrastructure facilities.
Stating that the Task Force could inspect the colleges any time, Krishna Rao said that the colleges need some more time as they have to upload information in connection with colleges and facilities.
The delegation also thanked the deputy chief Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha and Social welfare minister Pithani Satyanarayana for fixing Rs 35,000 fee in the engineering colleges. Earlier, the delegation met Pradesh congress Committee president Botsa Satyanarayana and Damodar Rajanarasinha over the issue. Social Welfare Minister Pithani Satyanaraya was also present.
