Hyderabad, September 10 INN: GHMC Mayor Mohammad Majid Hussain on Monday promised to organize training camps for the persons with hearing impaired.
The assurance was given after the Mayor held a meeting attended by the representatives of PHIN V Janaki, P Bala Krishna Reddy, Babu Jan, Poornima, Sreedevi, Prameela and Radhika, GHMC Additional Commissioner (UCD) CN Raghu Prasad and Sr Specialist in Disability, VIKASAM, Dr MK Chaitanya. During the meeting, the representatives of PHIN requested the Mayor to organize trainings to persons with Hearing Impaired in GHMC area in various locations which are convenient to them.
Responding to the request, Majid Hussain promised to organize the trainings in the last week of October particularly in the courses like Tailoring, Basic English, Beautician, etc and he also requested the Additional commissioner (UCD) and the Sr Specialist, Disability to identify the beneficiaries in coordination with PHIN and also to identify a suitable location for imparting the training.
In this connection, the GHMC Mayor launched the sign language calendar and brochure pertaining to PHIN organization.
