Hyderabad, September 17 INN: Telugu Desam Telangana Forum Convener Errabelli Dayakar Rao on Monday alleged that Assembly Speaker Nadendla Manohar adjourned the House on "flimsy reasons."
Talking to reporters at Assembly media point, he said that it was unfortunate for the Speaker to adjourn the House repeatedly when the State was plagued with so many issues including power shortage, fee reimbursement and tainted ministers. “It is not good for the Speaker to adjourn the House without taking up any public issue for discussion,” he said.
Stating that Telugu Desam was not opposed to Telangana state formation, he said that public issues should not be neglected at the cost of Telangana issue. If the government moves a resolution on Telangana in the Assembly, he said that the TDP was ready to support it. Recalling that the Parliament has to take a final decision on the formation of Telangana State, he reiterated that the TDP would continue its fight for bifurcation of State.
Dayakar Rao said that party president N Chandrababu Naidu would give a clear letter to the Centre over its party stand on Telangana statehood issue by the end of this month-end.
