Hyderabad, September 11 INN: Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy on Tuesday assured the delegation of Telangana Rashtra Samithi that he would look into the increase in share of profit to employees from existing 16 percent to 25 percent after discussing with management of Singareni Collieries Company Limited.
Talking to reporters at Media Point in the State Secretariat, TRS MLA T Harish Rao said that the delegation appealed to the Chief Minister to increase the share of profit in Singareni Collieries to 25 percent from the existing 16 percent. He said that Kiran Kumar Reddy responded positively to the demand and assured to would look into it. He also urged Kiran Kumar Reddy to prevail upon the management of Singareni Collieries to waive the advance Rs 25,000 given during the general strike of Telangana employees as production of coal has now increased.
Harish Rao also appealed to the Chief Minister to establish a medical college in the Singareni Collieries apart from constituting a coordination committee for finding ways and means for the same. He also urged the Chief Minister to look into promotions of lower level staff working in the Power Distribution companies in the Telangana region.
Responding to the Telangana state formation, he said that TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao was making sincere efforts in the New Delhi and expressed confidence that the Centre might take a decision on it by September-end. Accusing that a section of people with business interests were obstructing the formation of Telangana State, he warned the government of serious consequences if it fails to take a decision on the statehood issue.
The TRS leader reiterated that the Congress would be wiped out from the region if it fails to announce a decision on the bifurcation of the State.
