CM aims to upgrade emergency healthcare services


Hyderabad, Sept 7: Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy on Friday claimed that the State Government was taking all steps to upgrade emergency healthcare services in the State.

Talking to media persons after inaugurating Advanced 108 Ambulance and Prototype Mother and Child Care vehicle at GVK EMRI, Devar Yamzal in Rangareddy district, the Chief Minister reiterated that the government would upgrade facilities in all the government hospitals on par with corporate hospitals to benefit the common man. He said that the government was proposing to synchronise both private and government hospitals to provide better health care facilities to the people.
Stating that four lakh operations were conducted last year under the Rajiv Arogyasree Health Scheme, he said that the government has allocated Rs 2,000 crore in the budget for health services. He also said that the government has spent Rs 5,200 crore in the last two years on providing the better healthcare services to poor.
Deputy Chief Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha and Medical Education Minister Kondru Muralimohan were also present in the programme.
