Hyderabad, Se4ptember 26 INN: Government whip Toorpu Jayaprakash Reddy on Wednesday appealed to Telangana Political Joint Action Committee chairman Prof M Kodandaram to postpone the Telangana March.
Talking to media persons at Assembly premises, Toorpu Jayaprakash Reddy he said that Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy has been making frequent appeals to TPJAC to defer Telangana March as Ganesh immersion and International Conference on Biodiversity were falling on September 29 and October 1 respectively. Reminding that violent incidents took place during Million March organized last year at Tank Bund, he asked as to who would be responsible for repeat of violence during the Telangana March.
Jayaprakash Reddy asked whether Telangana Rashtra Samithi chief K Chandrasekhar Rao or Kodandaram were willing to shoulder responsibility for the violent incidents, if they occur. He feared that incidents of communal violence might occur in the event of law and order problem following Ganesh immersion.
He said that even Home Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy has made repeated pleas to TPJAC to postpone Telangana March fearing violence. He said Kiran Kumar Reddy was also holding consultations with Telangana leaders in this regard. He feared that some vested elements might incite violence to get mileage in the name of Telangana March.
