Hyderabad, September 20 INN: Government Chief Whip Gandra Venkata Ramana Reddy on Thursday ridiculed the opposition parties for introducing adjournment motions in the Assembly on the Central government issues.
Talking to media persons at the Congress Legislature Party office, Venkataramana Reddy accused the opposition parties of intentionally moving adjournment motions to divert the attention of House from the public issues. He alleged that opposition parties were not cooperating with Assembly Speaker Nadendla Manohar and forcing him to adjourn House on flimsy reasons.
How can the house discuss public issues if the opposition parties behaves arrogantly and insisting for discussion on adjournment motions? he asked. At least now all party leaders should cooperate with the Speaker and allow him to facilitate a healthy discussion on people’s issues, he said.
Venkataramana Reddy also came down heavily on the TDP for conducting mock assembly degrading the House. “This is nothing but insulting the House,” he stated.
