Hyderabad, September 28 INN: TRS MLA Pocharam Srinivas Reddy on Friday expressed confidence that he was expecting a positive statement on the Telangana State formation from the Centre before the deadline of September 30 set by TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao.
Talking to media persons here, Srinivas Reddy warned of serious consequences if the government fails to make a favourable announcement on the bifurcation of State. He said that no one could deter the Telangana March by forcible arrests or causing other obstructions. He warned that the agitation would be intensified if the government did not stop forcible arrest of activists in the name of law and order problem.
Srinivas Reddy also criticized Telugu Desam president N Chandrababu Naidu for not giving clarity on the Telangana statehood issue in his letter addressed to the Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh. Except demanding all-party meeting to resolve the Telangana issue, he said that Naidu never mentioned in the letter that he was in favour of formation of Telangana state.
