Hyderabad, August 29: Former Minister Dr P Shankar Rao on Wednesday alleged that large scale corruption took place in the transfers of DSP, inspectors and sub-inspectors in the district level.
Talking to media persons at the Congress Legislature Party, Dr Shankar Rao alleged that the several minister and senior police officials were involved in the transfer scam. He demanded that the State Government order a thorough probe into the transfers. "Entire truth would come out, if the government orders an enquiry through a sitting Judge. The government can also order a probe through Central Bureau of Investigation," he demanded.
Dr Shankar Rao said that the delay in ordering enquiry into the issue would damage the image of the Congress party and the State Government.
The former minister also appealed to the all members of the Parliament to discard the CAG report on coal and support Sonia Gandhi.
