Hyderabad, August 18: Home Minister P Sabitha Indra Reddy on Saturday said that the State Government would take all measures to protect the lives of people from the North Eastern States living in the State capital.
Talking to media persons at the Secretariat after holding a meeting with the top officials, Sabita Indra Reddy assured Assamees and natives of other North-Eastern States that there was no threat to their lives and properties in the State. She said that the government would take all steps to protect them.
Stating that the situation in the State capital was peaceful and no violence has been reported on any Assamees, she appealed to them not to believe rumours being spread by a section of vicious elements.
Stating that she had a meeting with the IT firms and other companies where the people from North-East are working, she asked them to resume their duties.
